5.3.0 16 Online update doesn't work

After performing the online update, the box still says it is on 5.3.0 15. And the update loop repeats every time while checking online updates.

I have 4 openbh 5.3 images on my Ultimo4k and all have updated without issue.

Try running the update again and if it still doesn't work, then you will need to reflash your box.

same here, Solo 4K, no update possible since 5.3.006...

online update keeps repeating without end (I need to switch off the box and restart...?).

You need to reflash your box then

There is a Telnet command, to update the receiver, but as you have had no updates since 5.3.006, I agree with Ev0 that a clean re-flash might be best.

The problem solved by telnet update:
init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6
