Failed to Flash by Flashdrive

Hi All Masters, I have tried many times to flash my Sf8008 through flashdrive by using many methods, such as, the original image zip file/unzip folder, connecting to the USB port at the side & back, sadly all failed. When I connect my flashdrive, I can see it could read my flashdrive but it just would not read the image file which I am totally puzzled about. Please Help.
Thank you

Supposing you have the two default images in slots 1 and 2, ATV and Define, and that you want to install a new one in slot 2 or 3 download the _mmc.zip of the image you want, do not extract the files from the zip and put it in a USB stick then you have two ways to install it:
1) go to the ricovery menu and choose to install the image from USB, choose the image from the list and the slot you want it in then follow the onscreen instructions.
2) second way, from ATV image: press blue button and choose Flash Online/downloaded images/choose the image and the slot then follow online instructions.

Hi B.D., thank you so much for your quick reply and sorry for not making this clear enough.
I boot-up in Recovery mode to flash an image but the image is not displayed when I select the option, “flashing an image” (can't remember exactly the correct full name of the option or on which number). However,I can see my flashdrive is connected to the box which is shown at the top of the screen.

Try downloading the first file, unzip it, and load the octagon folder onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick

Just came across this guide:
To load an image on an Octagon SF8008 receiver, you'll need to use a USB stick and the recovery menu. First, ensure the receiver is powered off. Then, insert a USB stick with the image files into the rear USB port. Next, power on the receiver while holding down the front standby button until "updt" appears on the display. This will boot the receiver into the recovery menu. Select "Recovery from USB" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the flashing process.

There are also some videos, on youtube.

Are you trying to load the image to the receivers flash memory or using the multiboot option?

trying to load using the multiboot option lol,on empty slot...do i have to insert usb into the rear port?

Please Be a little bit more clear on what you are trying to do.

You are trying to load an image onto a SF8008 receiver. That part I get. But what is the EXACT image is on the receiver now? Not all images load the same. Also, what image are you trying to load? Be specific. Is the image you are trying to load multiboot or usb? If you do not know, provide the image file properties.

Finally, Yes. You will have to insert the usb drive into the receiver so it can access the image you are trying to load. Or you can copy the image to internal drive if you have that capability in your SF8008. What usb port is used does not matter, as long as the usb drive can be read by the receiver.

Make a folder on the usb drive named exactly "downloaded_images"
Insert your zipped image file that is mmc(Not emmc) into the downloaded_images folder.
Insert your prepared usb drive into the receiver and reboot so it is properly reconized.
Next:
Navigate receiver menus, Menu--->Setup--->Software Management--->Flash online
Then select Downloaded images and follow onscreen instructions.

This is easy to do. Remember, the downloaded image file Is Not to be unzipped for this method.
