(you can do this using image and backup manager and then restore your settings backup)

I thought I would try for the first time to save only my settings to copy them back to v5.5.1.

Should I just go into the backup manager and save to the SSD.
Will the settings then remain after a clean install of 5.5.1?
 
I just upgraded to 5.5.1 restoring a backup from 5.4.1 and almost everything has been restored, I had to reinstall just a few plugins I believe because of a different structure but just a few. Wireguard, a skin and I still have to find a compatible MultistalkerPro. All the rest seems to be ok so far.
I have a different decoder but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

It's enough to set your language and cancel to the menu and then download the backup copy.
