Bug multiboot in Qviart Dual

Ciao a tutti!
Qualche consiglio?

So the problem is with my receiver. Strange, because flash recovery erases all the slots, but I can't fix the problem with BH's multiboot.

Did you by any chance have a bootloop at some point on the android side of the box?

No, I started having the BH multiboot problem after trying to update from build 10 to build 15.
I don't remember if it got stuck on boot or kept rebooting.
The only way I can use multiboot is to use a backup of build 10 I made months ago.
Do you think flashing the v5 or v6 firmware could fix it?

Reflash with 5.5.1.016 and see if that fixes it (rather than update from an earlier version, maybe something in your back corrupts the update, but no idea why that would be).

I specified it in the first post: I also tried deleting the slot and performing a clean flash of build 16, but nothing changes, multiboot still doesn't work.

Ok it wasn't clear (maybe translate didn't work so well), but did you flash clean and then test multiboot, or flash clean and then restore a backup?

Have you tried reflashing the other slots clean too?

I did a clean flash and then tested multiboot.
Now I restored my build 10 backup because it was the last one to work.

Yes, I also tried flashing the other clean slots.

I have no other suggestions then, sorry.

The only time i've known multiboot to not work, is when the android side has failed with boot loops and a force flash has been needed, this restores the android side, but only slot 1 of enigma2 works then and the other 3 slots have to be reflashed.

OK, then I'll try it too with a flash from firmware 6.00.
I'll let you know.
In the meantime, thanks for your support.
Have a nice weekend.

I tried flashing the firmware, both version 5 and 6, but the BH multiboot problem persists.
I'm giving up, thanks anyway.

I tried accessing the recovery menu (power on + OK button), but the receiver remains stuck with "RECO" on the display.
Can someone help me find and download the original firmware 5.00?
After firmware 6.00 was released, I deleted it.

Ok so this was also an issue in 5.6 and in that build we have found the issue (will be fixed in 5.6.002).

In the mean time, if you reflash with 5.5.1.016 it should now work for you (download a clean image to flash from).

Really don't know why it was never an issue for me with 5.5.1.016 though.

I just remember that, as explained in the first post, I upgraded from build 10 to build 15, and just before booting, the display started flashing 4-5 times, white screens if I remember correctly. The only way to restore the slot and image was to flash or load backup images. Everything worked fine, but builds 15 and 16 had this bug, even restoring all slots by flashing a recovery image.
With build 10, however, multiboot worked, so I was stuck with build 10.
So I'm not crazy, haha.
I'll try version 5.6 directly this weekend. Thanks for your support, have a good evening!

5.6 won't work just yet (images need to rebuild).

But as said, 5.5.1.016 should now work if you download it again and flash it.

Oh, okay, thank goodness you warned me, otherwise I would have started swearing again.
I downloaded version 5.5.1.0016 a little while ago after reading your post. I'll try it tomorrow or Saturday. Thanks again! Bye!
