I have unpacked all the files located in the root of the USB.
7 files.
Inserts USB on the front of the Vu+ duo 4K and ON on the back.
After that, info on the screen should not show that I should press the ON symbol on the front.
Can't get the receiver to boot from USB.
What is wrong?

Usually you load the vuplus folder, onto your FAT32 Formatted USB stick, not the files, inside the vuplus folder.
But I haven't got a 4K receiver, so it might be different.

After reformatting the USB it worked.
How do I connect to my network?
In BlackHole there were no problems in Vu+ duo2.
How do I get an IP number that I must have to manage my channel list.
Is there a detailed guide?

You need to set a password first, go into the menu, Network, and set a password, it can be anything you want.

Installed 5.3 and and tried.
wifi appeared.
Maybe I was too fast before with 5.4 when I got info "can't find any networks" and moved on.
Covered try again with 5.4 but receiver won't update but keeps starting with 5.3
Now to another problem.
I see what IP number vu+ has and was thinking of transferring my channels.
The FTP program does not find vu+.
I have done this many times with the vu+ duo2 and it worked well.
Why is vu+ duo 4K not found, I get an error message.

I use Dreamboxedit, to transfer my files, but to get it to connect you still need to set up a password, and ensure you save the password, when exiting.
You then need to imput your receivers assigned IP address, found in network, username, which is root, and password, under tools, options, then save, and connect to your receiver.

Saw that in the config file for the softcam it said dreambox as the password.
Have now changed it to my password.
Is that what someone should do?

So long as the password, you've entered in your receiver, is the same one entered into the utilities, then it should work.
