1) Move some variables from object to local namespace.
2) Do not use "list" as a variable name.
3) Tweak embedded skin so the button text fits and buttons are conditional.
4) Add a screen summary for users with a front panel.
5) Make ActionMaps and button texts conditional so they are only active when the action can be applied to the current slot.
6) Item 5 allows a lot of sanity checks to be removed from the supporting functions.
