When it happens to me that the remote control no longer responds correctly I open it and clean the printed board and the buttons with isopropyl alcohol which cleans, degreases the contacts and evaporates quickly, otherwise normal denatured alcohol is fine. Then I close it again and the remote control usually works again.
Batteries ok?
I don't know any pairing menu but I don't have a VU, however, I found online this procedure, try it.
Procedure for configuring the STB (decoder) function:
- Keep keys 2 and 7 pressed for a few seconds, the LED should light up.
- Press the help button
- Enter 0001 for the duo/solo model, or 0002 for one/ultimo

Quando a me succede che il telcomando non risponde più correttamente lo apro e ripulisco la scheda stampata e i pulsanti con alcool isopropilico che pulisce, sgrassa i contatti ed evapora velocemente, in mancanza va bene anche normale alcol denaturato. Poi richiudo e il telecomando solitamente torna a funzionare.
Batterie ok?
Io non conosco menu di accoppiamento ma non ho un VU, comunque ho trovato questa procedura online, provala.
