Hi,
I'd like to propose a small change in UsageConfig.py: lowering the minimum of the three channel list font size settings (service number, name and info) from -8 to -16.
The reason is that big TVs are more and more common. On a 65", for instance, I set the channel list to 40 rows, and I also had to lower the three font sizes to their minimum, -8. Even so, the lower part of letters like g, p and y is still cut off.
With 40 rows:
- MX_Slim-Line_NP (default skin): rows are 19 px high (765/40), the channel name is 24 px (32-8), but the largest size that fits is 17 px, i.e. -15
- EclipseFire: rows are 21 px high (850/40), the largest size that fits is 18 px, i.e. -14
I checked it by lowering the font sizes directly in the skin: that way the 40 rows are perfectly readable. So -16 would cover both, with one step to spare.
It's just min=-8 -> min=-16 in the three lines of servicenum_fontsize, servicename_fontsize and serviceinfo_fontsize.
What do you think?
Since some skins use small base sizes, it might also be worth making sure in ServiceList.setFontsize() that the resulting size never goes below a few pixels.
I attach a try I did with my skin (EclipseFire): everything it's perfectly readable.
