OpenBh 5.1 is based on the OE-Alliance 5.1 core.


So what is different in OpenBh 5.1 then?


The main change from OpenBh 5.0 to OpenBh 5.1 is that Python has been upgraded from Python 3.9 to Python 3.10 and 99% of the old redundant Python2 code has now been removed completely.

Whats New:
​
  • OE-A 5.1​
  • Python 3.10​
  • Extensive changes to meet Python3.10 requirements.​
  • Fixed all known issues with FCC on Vu+boxes... (Channel number and usb tuners with no video).​
  • If your favourite plugins no longer work, you will need to contact the plugin authors to ask them to update their plugins for Python3.​

Apart from the above you should not notice many differences between previous OpenBh 5.0 and OpenBh 5.1 images.

The image is not fully loaded, only 49 percent. There is no way to telnet.
The problem appears only when installed on the SD card.
In the main memory (emmc), the installation is successful and the image works.

At 49 percent you should have telnet access iirc.

Anyway the issue has been found and should be fixed, so if you can not get any telnet access, download the image again now and reflash.

The situation with the version of openbh-5.2.001.release-ustym4kpro-f3d1c545_mmc repeats as in the post of January 5, 2023
Works only when installed in main memory emmc.
Doesn't work when installed on SD card, loaded only 49 percent.

Can you post a log ?

We only test that images work with normal parameters, we don't check they work with "hacks" to load images from other locations.

file ustym_BH_5_2_emmc_slot4 - it works
file ustym_BH_5_2_SDcard - does not work. 49% cycling

Ok we have a fix for this, but 1 of the gits is currently offline so no images will build :(

The openbh-5.2.001.release-ustym4kpro-6082d48e_mmc version works fine on the sd card.

I really liked the great image, thanks to the creators, it would be even better to add a multi-screen to the list of channels
