Openbh-5.0.006 cron on Octgon sf8008

I tried to run a Date.sh script via cron and print the result to Date.log in /tmp but got no result at all.
Manually the script works perfectly and a Date.log file is duly written to /tmp.
Can somebody check please. Thanks.

I tried the same script on another python 3 image and it worked fine.
I set cron to execute every 5 minutes as per result in Date.log file in attached Date.rar
This does not work on Openbh.

In the attached Details.rar please find the script file which I put in usr/script with chmod 755
and the root file which is in etc/cron/crontabs. Thanks

Did you stop and then restart the cron timer when you edited the crontabs ?

Off-topic for this thread, but I will answer anyway.

1) see here https://board.openbh.net/threads/openbh-functions-map.238/

2) menu - setup user interface - Channel selection - Load unlinked userbouquets change to yes and save.

Yes I did a full reboot after I edited the crontabs. I will re-install the Image and see what happens.

Just double check your chmod is 644 on the crontabs file, if it's too high then it can cause issues.

All I did was add the line to my crontabs file (making sure it remains unix format).

Send it to the box, then in the cron timers I stopped the timers and then started them again.

It all worked fine.

Hi guys.Just a question.I have noticed that after flashing from revcovery ...it is impossible to access via FTP.Why?Hw can i fix it?

Tried again to set up crontab this evening and realized I was overlooking to stop/start the cron timers. In fact now it is working fine. Thanks @Ev0 for help and advice.
