Online update for edision mini4k & osmio4k plus, is not possible: gets stuck half way through !
Is loading with fresh flush only !
 
Online update do not finish. Stuck at boot logo (Starting enigma2) (VuDuo4Kse)
PowerOff PowerOn. Still stuck.
But i was able to connect and do...
From Telnet.
init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6
Updated ok

Or: opkg update && opkg upgrade

I think it"s the problem common to all boxes, here it happens in Duo 4K, Uno 4K SE and Octagon SF8008.
 
Maybe if you explain to me how you can connect with telnet if the decoder is stuck on "starting enigma 2" you will give me a big thank you.

By telnet.... In the situation in question there is a connection to the box by telnet/ftp.
 
Once again, I'm completely lost in not checking whether, given the decoder's settings, starting with Enigma 2,telnet FTP connection is possible as you say...I hope to be more careful next time...
 
Issue same with Ultimo 4K ... now stuck on loading screen!! Tried the Telenet command line as above but no joy!! Solutions please??
 
UPDATE: FIXED
Did another Telnet ... each command line separately as follows:

INIT4
OPKG UPDATE
OPKG UPGRADE
INIT6

Hope this help others? Or until .015 issued to fix?

You also can use SSH instead of Telnet.
From Windows do Run and enter the command.
ssh root@boxip (Change to your box ip)
enter your root password.

Upgrade your box via this command.
init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6

I've never used SSH, even though the Putty tool supports this protocol.So, to avoid any mess, I'm asking for clarification.When I type in my box's address and open with SSH, I get the messageLogin asHow do I proceed from there?

root <enter> (root is the user name)
then it will ask for password (Enter your root password <enter>)

Ok for now you can either update via telnet as mentioned above:

Code: 
opkg update && opkg upgrade
then reboot when finished.

Or wait until all images have finished rebuilding, it seems there was an error on the oe-a git that was only fixed yesterday (after the images had been built).

The first part of the post doesn't work (mio4k+). box is stuck during the reboot.

If you follow what is described here, you will have the solution...

The same thing happened to me with the Duo 4K too. The box has the connection active so it is enough, by telnet, to enter the command opkg update &amp;&amp; opkg upgrade

You can use the DCC, WinsSCP or using Windows by observing the suggestion of the @SuperGlud
