My Octagon SF8008 on OpenBH5.3.007

Did system update via menu from 5.3.006 to 5.3.007.

Stuck at boot

Gear wheel is running in top left corner.

Display is showing 0049

Also Tried :
init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6 ( to 5.3.008 )

No webIf.
Background jobs are running.
Ftp/telnet to SF8008 are ok.

Best regards

It happened the same to me when I updated to .007, boot stuck and nothing to do, but rebooting first to another image and going back to the .007 it loaded without any problem anymore. I don't know if booting to another image has been enough to fix the inizialization but it worked for me.

Thx for the info.
I am not running any kind of multiboot setup.
My OpenBH is installed the classic way (only existing image).
So i cannot try that.

Best regards

The Octagon SF8008 has a default 4 slots multiboot, I supposed you had at least the Define image it comes with on slot 2.

Can only assume YOU have installed something that it doesn't like.

NO issue here updating my sf8008 to 008
On BH5.3.000 I installed
1. "MX Slimline" skin.
2. enigma2-plugin-extensions-opkg-tools_1.4_all.ipk
and did online updates ok up to BH5.3.006.

Best regards.

5.3.000 was not a release image.

Suggest you reflash.

Is it not possible to run some debug/telemetry script to find out why it stops at 0049 ?
As FTP and telnet are working ok.

In Telnet, init 2 then enigma2

Hopefully it will tell you the issue

You need to highlight all the text and then copy and paste it into a txt document.

Harddisk.py, line 722:
mounts = listdir(mountEntry)

That is a python built in function. Nothing has changed there in an update.

OSError [Errno 74] Bad message: '/media/hdd'

That most likely means the disk is corrupt.

If you really believe this is due to an update, go back to the previous version and retry.
