Software Updates?

Re Software update:

I have 5 updated packages available

I have 1] update & reboot. Not installing?
I have 4] Show packages to be upgraded - this reads:

* parse_from_stream_nomalloc: Missing new line character
at end of line!
Collected errors:
Not selecting libdvdread4.5.0.1+git+4507900 as
installing it would break existing dependencies.
Package pulseaudio-module-augment-properties version
5.0-r0 has no valid architecture. Ignoring.

What is this?

How do I do whatever is required?

I have read the Show latest upgrade log 5] it states:

Package pulseaudio-module-augment-properties version
5.0-r0 has no valid architecture. Ignoring.
Not selecting libdvdread4.5.0.1+git247+4507900 as
installing it would break existing dependencies.
Not selecting libdvdread4.5.0.2+git784+0a0b2ff as installing
it would break existing dependencies.
Collected errors:
* parse_from_stream_nomalloc: Missing new line character
at end of line!

What has happened?

Help please.

Ok, thank you.
I would like to know what has caused this. I am IT literate and a software writer, seeing do not worry is ok for a lot of people but I am a little more tech savey.
Is it possible to remove the script as I feel it is blocking updates. I have had this for over 6/7 weeks!! Unless there have not been any updates for this time I have not received any.
I am not trying to be difficult but the only way to learn is to ask.
