Timeshift does not start with pause button

How can I activate the timeshift feature? When I press the pause button, nothing happens. I couldn't find the permanent timeshift plugin in the plugin download list.

Permanent timeshift is built into the image, you just need to enable it.

Menu - Setup - Recording, Playback & Timeshift, Timeshift - Automatically start timeshift after ...

You also need a usb / hdd mounted and formatted in ext4 and the timeshift path set to the correct mount.

HDMI input is only for pass through, it is not treated the same way as a tv channel is.
