Install Kodi on network HDD

Hi,

Installed OpenBH 5 in my Solo2 and have no more left space, so can't install Kodi. I have a network HDD mounted on /media/net how can I install Kodi there? I have picons in /media/net/picons but I see no options about picons on menu.

You should have no problem installing Kodi, as it's just a plugin.
If using the Kodi addons, for downloading, as viewing is choppy, then you need to set up the download options, in the addons, to /media/net, if that's the full path, or fit an internal HDD, which generally lies in the root option, Media/HDD/Movie

Poor Solo: not only Kodi is the "Office for complication of simple affair", but also with a network HDD. Many wishes!

I think he has the newer, more powerful, Solo 2, not the old VU+ Solo.
Providing it's genuine it should work, my old VU+ Duo 2 still does everything, I need, except 4K.

I try to install Kodi from OBH App menu, but I get thousands of errors because of no free space left and I don't know how to change the install route of Kodi.

Installing one plugin, like Kodi, shouldn't do this, unless you have a memory problem.
I'd advise re-flashing your receiver, during installation.

Do you have a genuine VU+ Solo 2?
Code:
http://vuplus.com/sub/sub0105.php
As you can see your receiver should have 256Mb in flash memory, but you can extend this using a USB stick. There are guides available.
If you have a spare hard drive, why not fit that?

Yes, it is genuine. Fresh install and shows Total memory: 200 Mb. Free memory: 69 Mb. But Kodi has not enough space :S

I can't install HDD because I lost cables to plug on mainboard.

Thanks, but I have pluged in an USB but can't install Kodi there, all the time gets installed on flash, wich has not enough space.

I still say: Install an image on OMB...

But you or apologize with the lack of the cable, or because it connects a USB pen...

But I say you: forget Kodi in E2...

You can use a USB stick to extend your memory, or to use as a storage option.
Have you configured your USB stick correctly, by going into the menu, setup, storage and initialize?
