This happens not only with XtraEvent plugin ,I have tested with three plugins so far.

I have used old files from openbh-5.3.000.release-vuduo4k-839244a2_usb.zip and with this files is ok.

Just for a test I just reverted the changes in ScrollLabel.pyc so that it is the same file as in 5.3.008, and added the file to my box.

First plugin I opened then crashed.

So the changes can not be reverted.

Your test is not useful either, 5.3.000 was a pre-release image, and the image has been updated atleast 10 times since then

I installed those plugins earlier, I don't remember which version it was, maybe 006 or newer
without a hitch.
I'm almost certain that the last change to these files caused the problem with ipk install.

Your putting 5.3.000 files into a 5.3.009 image.

There has been hundreds (if not thousands) of changes in the image between these 2 images.

If I understood correctly you managed to install
enigma2-plugin-extensions-internet-speedtest_1.7_all.ipk .zip from @mosad
to the 009 version.
It cannot be installed on duo 4k, 009 image.
Put the ipk file for enigma2-plugin-extensions-internet-speedtest here
so I will test again

i can't install ipk files in updated 009 version Duo 4K

You asked for the ipk to install it, that is the one I used
 
Ok, so maybe it's not an image issue and is actually a skin issue.

I just did a clean install of 5.3.009 and like you was unable to install the ipk file.

So I changed the skin to the one i'm using on the Ultimo4K, and then it installs fine.

Ask these image coders if they have better jobs to do than
cosmetic changes that only cause skin problems.

what did they do
they fixed the font name in the Console skin coding
So the font must be called Console and not, say, Regular
or any another name.

So update skin.xml for default skin MX_Slim-Line_NP

I’m change skin.xml @Matrix10 download and manual install ipk perfect ,now all good but need update XtraEvent 5.2

The font has to be a declared font in the skin or emergency skin. Then it will work. "Regular" is declared in the emergency skin so will always be present even if missing from the current skin.

I didn't quite understand.

The font is defined in skin.xml Obh default/current skin MX_Slim-Line_NP
Regular
<fonts>
<font filename="tiny.ttf" name="Regular" scale="100"/>

and as such it was used for a long time in Console
but now it causes an image crash


Old coding now it causes an image crash :

New , no image crash:

</screen>

The Regular font is used in almost the entire skin
so why can't it be used in screen "Console".
