It's been said on here before that the sf8008 doesn't really like sandisk sd cards as some users have had weird issues that vanished when they switched to another brand of sd card.

Yes, i know , i was one of them.
Kingston sdcards is the way to go.
But this little cheap USB card reader has made my expensive sandisk sdcard work like a charm on Sf8008.

It is working super.
The only issue a have had is online update to 5.1.012 and then again to 5.3.0.7

Best regards

Try putting this into /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/

Backup the original .pyc file first.

Thx
Should i just copy the new Harddisk.py to /usr/lib/eningma2/python/Components/
And backup and remove the existing Haddisk.pyc ?
There is no Haddisk.pyo file there.

Best regards

Well there has been no other changes to that file since 5.3.005, so doesn't look like it's an image issue.

Ok, thx.

Somewhere doing the online update my HDD (Usb2CardReaderForMicroSD with 400GB sandisk) became nolonger ok.

I did this.
I disconnected the HDD and botting was ok.
I connected the HDD and checked the mounting.
It was still mounted as media/hdd (400GB).
But all the content was nolonger there.
And booting stopped at 0049.

Then I did this.
I disconnected the HDD and botting was ok.
I connected the HDD and checked the mounting.
It was still mounted as media/hdd (400GB).
But all the content was nolonger there.
I unmounted the HDD. and rebooted.
And booting stopped at 0049.
I disconnected the HDD and botting was ok.
I connected the HDD and mounted again as media/hdd and rebooted.
And booting stopped at 0049.

Finally I did this.
I disconnected the HDD and botting was ok.
I connected the HDD and checked the mounting.
It was still mounted as media/hdd (400GB).
Then i formatted the HDD via menu-> storage.
And rebooted and booting is now ok.

Best regards

Ok so the sd card was corrupt then.

Atleast you have it working again now.

If it happens again, then stop using that sandisk sd card (or at the very least, please stop complaining here about issues, until you have removed that card and checked).
