Has Satco (the new owner of the Vu+ and Dreambox) updated the drivers, kernel, etc.?
This is what matters, otherwise we have a decoder with a 20-year-old firmware.

This is what matters, otherwise we have a decoder with a 20-year-old firmware.

The pre-production sample I have is kernel 4.1.20 but I have no idea if the production models are using the same kernel.

I understand there will be hardware differences between the pre-production and production models, but I do not know what the exact differences are or if that will mean the kernel will change (I would guess it's unlikely though).
